Can you eat the flowers on a basil plant?

Basil - Depending on the type, the flowers are either bright white, pale pink, or a delicate lavender. The flavor of the flower is milder, but similar to the leaves of the same plant. Basil also has different varieties that have different milder flavors like lemon and mint. Sprinkle them over salad or pasta for a concentrated flavor and a spark of color that gives any dish a fresh, festive look. This information

The secret is the soil.

They are edible but it prolongs the basil season to keep flowers from forming, nip them often and the plants last longer.

I have neglected my herbs for a while (not by choice) and they took over. This is from one basil bush...I have 4 more to cut!!!! [shocked]
