My poor, poor aloe has been through a lot. Now it's leaning way over to one side and the base is dry, wrinkly and brown. I overwatered it once before so I'm trying to stick to a once a month plan but now I don't know what to do. A while ago I put it in sandier soil and created a better habitat for it after reccomendations from my previous aloe postings. Now I'm stuck.
Any ideas?

I don't think you'll get much of a change now growth wise until the weather warms PG. It will require excellent drainage as you've done and minimal watering as you already suggested. The ones i'm growing thrive on neglect. Be patient i think is the answer. If you can prop it and support it to stop movement of the base it may help, say with some rocks or something. Is it in a pot or in the ground?
