Well, I was doing real good, I thought. I cut off all the heads of my sunflowers that were just about ready to drop seeds. I left the box outside because I didn't want to bring ants in the house. Well, we got a nice rain and now I have sunflower mush [Frown] Can I let it dry out and still have viable seeds? Or are they ruined? [dunno]

Should be, but I guess, what do you mean
by mush?????
It rotted, or it's just rained on... and wet???

If it's rained on and wet, maybe just put it
on top of several layers of newspapers....
The newspaper will absorb the water and also
help ripen the seeds too..

Just rained on -- really, really rained on...like, I had them in a shoebox, and the shoebox filled with water rained on! But I dumped the water out, at least. Tomorrow I'll get out there with some newspaper [thumb] Thanks, Weezie to my rescue! [Wink]
