I think I need some help with my flower garden in the front of my house. It is small. This is a picture of it.
http://www.geocities.com/blackmon44/oldgarden.html
I can't think of all the flower I planted.
But next year I want it to look pretty.
So if anyone has a garden around this size please post it here so I can get an idea of how to do my garden next year.

What kind of sunlight does that area get pinkpansy? [wavey]

I like your garden it is pretty. Lez I am glad you ask me that. I get a lot of sun light at 12:00 or 1:00 in the summer. I don't really get a lot of flowers until midsummer. Some of those flowers you see in my picture where given to me, so I don't know their names.

Pinkpansy,
Can you take some more pictures of the plants/flowers when they come up in the spring..
and post them, INDIVIDUALLY, in the MYSTERY SECTION.. and we will be more than happy *cause we love a good mystery here* to help you identify and take care of your plants...

Are you looking for annuals or perennials?

If it's very sunny you can't go wrong with Zinnia's or Cosmos.....they're both annuals...and both can get quite tall depending on the type of each.

And it changes every year...
I just put annuals into it.
*Well, I have one rose in it but that's it*
It's so much fun just putting in annuals..
I don't have any area like it here...

I wish I had more area just like it to do...
There's so many that I'd love to grow...
but can't because of limited space.

One plant i would love to try next summer is a Bird of Paradise plant, but i have heard that if you start them from seed, it takes 2 years for them to flower. Have you tried that one before???

No, I haven't tried a BoP....

That would be an annual for you...
*or you'd have to bring that inside..*
and I think they can get BIG, find a Californian,
they have those in the really warmer areas outside...
The flower is a neat flower I think...

No, I wasn't too partial to the green..
Onllllllyyyyyyyyy because I have the "cousin" plant, that's a weeeeeeeeeeed here in my soil
and it reminds me too much of it...

Although, I did see some pictures of one,
and it's not bad.. just that I have a ba~zillion
plants, and even have a hard time squeezing in the one's that I do really like.. so I can't see growing one I'm not allllll that partial too...

I suppose by it's self it would be a nice plant..
like in a pot/container...

My front yard has two big Bird of Paradise plants.
They get to about 5 feet around and about 4 feet tall.
You have to prune them to keep them from spreading so wide that you can't control their size.
Lemme tell ya, they get humungous.

No, from small plants from the local nursery.
Right now the plants are in full bloom and have about 6 "birds" per plant.
