Hi, am just completing laying 2in.x 16 in. sq. pavers on walkway in back yard. Problem is I had to use fill dirt (which nothing grows in)in the path area, to level it . The man at the garden store said to fill in the area around the pavers with top soil I plan to do that, but need a ground cover to plant between the pavers. I read about a creeping thyme which is supposed to be good for foot traffic. Anybody know if it will grow with just about an inch of topsoil. Hate to buy it and go through all the work and it not grow. thanks.
