Hello, I am in zone 8-9. I purchased a pampus grass a month or so ago and have yet to plant it. Can I still do that or should I wait until spring? If I can, anything special I need to know?

You should be OK planting it now. You might want to keep an eye on it. They are like really big weeds in southern California. If it starts to create friends and relatives at your house, you may want to dig them up.

Thanks for the advice. It is actually in a great place to spread. I got a dwarf one but it would be fine if it took over. It is in a large area that I don't want to maintain much.

jsut remember, they will develop "hollow spots" in the center if they get too big. just dig them up and divide them if need be.

Thanks for all of the advice. Once the threat of snow is over I will go ahead and plant it.
