INGREDIENTS:
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
2 eggs
1 cup beer
1/2 quart vegetable oil
2 cups sliced jalapeno peppers

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DIRECTIONS:
Mix flour, salt, pepper, red chili powder, garlic powder, eggs, and beer together in a bowl.
In a deep fryer, or large pot heat oil to 365 degrees F (180 degrees C).
Dip the sliced jalapenos in the batter. Place battered jalapenos in deep fryer. The jalapenos are fully cooked when they float to the surface of the oil. They should be golden brown and crispy. Enjoy!

Sidenote~~~ sometimes the batter seems a bit runny. Start with only 1/2 cup beer and add to desired thickness.

We frequent TGI Fridays and they have a hamburger that has these on top of the burger. Stephen always gets extra peppers and next time we go, he's going to ask them to substitute his fries with the peppers. I figured it was cheaper just to buy a huge jar of the pepper clices and make them myself.

So Jenn...you use pickled jalepenos...or fresh? At first I was thinking fresh...but then when you said you bought a "jar" of pepper slices...sounds like pickled!

any alcohol in the beer is cooked out. I used pickeled peppers, but I'm sure you could use fresh. Next year, I'm going to get seeds and grow peppers for the hubby and then pickle them. I just LOVE how they look in jars!!

I'd love the recipe tooooooo!!!

We get the store bought ones... or sometimes we get them at like Pizza Hut or fast food restaurants..

They are sooooooooooo good...
I preferr them to the cheddar cheese one's...
just so creamy and smooth...

I'm trying some for dinner.I know my nephew will eat um with me.
I love the cream cheese filled poppers.I buy them by the case sometimes also when are n sale I'll ask if they have an un-opened case I could get.Cheddar are ok.....but i'm the cream cheese person.
I also like to make what I call deer balls(Yep I fall in the gutter occassionally....) I stick a mozzeralla stick inside a jalpeno& wrap a slice of bacon and take ground deer meat and form a ball around the whole thing androll in bread crumbs or italian bread seasoning(its french bread crumbs with seasoning and ain't sold in the south) cook them in oven till done.
