My cabbage plants are doing very bad. I put them in containers, but I think I might should have been putting them in the ground. Please tell me what I could be doing wrong and ways to fix it. Thanks a bunch!

Cabbage like a liquid nitrogenous fertiliser every 2-3 weeks and a fairly sweet soil with good structure. Prep beds by digging in plenty of organic matter, compost or rotted manures and add dolomite to sweeten sour soil.
