I liked the pink ones' on the spikey stem too..
*Persicaria 'Firetail'*, I have never seen those..
*they look like a smart weed relative sorta..*

Love the asters... I have a bunch of every variety of those around here.. and the honey bees are just lovin' them right now...

Weezie- it actually is a relative of smartweed, both are polygonums, but it's better behaved.

I thought so...
It is soooooo pretty though....

I let my weed smartweed grow around here..
Gives me some color/and difference to some asters inter grown together..
*plus the Japanese Beetles like it and stay on
them instead of some other plants..* [clappy]

That firetail grass is awesome.you think it would survive a hades summer in Tx [dunno]
your sedum is nice also.I think mines in too much shade, but have a stem rooting the dog stepped on.

Swamp sunflower.I'm glad you showed that.I seen some of that blooming and wondered what it was.I might have to go back and pay the power company a favor and thin a walk path for them. They look awesome growing in a field kinda(one of them powerline rightaways cut through the woods tall towers)

The swamp sunflower is very pretty, but it reseeds like crazy and grows to 10' if you let it. I have to pull up dozens of seedling every year.
