These are not obscene pictures!!! [Embarrassed] [Big Grin] [shocked]
They are pictures of my elephant ears sprouting!

What I don't get, is that the bulbs had many many small bumps around the rings of the tops, but they seem to only be sprouting from the area where last year's growth was cut off on the top, center. I thought that there would be many sprouts coming out of all the bumps - anyone know more about these wondrous things? [dunno] [teacher]

If you want to see a "peculiar" looking plant, look up the dracunculus vulgaris... [shocked] [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Now that we're back in business, thought I'd share a picture of my elephant ears now that they are planted outside. They are just LOVIN' the extreme heat and humidity we've been having these past few weeks. Today was a record breaker at 94. Supposed to be a high around 70 on Thursday - that will feel downright cold in comparison!

A big plant, a big name, a big stink.

ya know, i'm looking at these pictures of the dracunculus vulgaris or voodoo lily, and i just don't see why people call it "the most erotic plant on earth". looks like a calla lily with a long pointed pistol to me. >.< I really don't see any suggestive shapes in that plant... someone wana PM me and explain? [dunno]
