Can anyone tell me how to start the seeds? How deep and what medium to start them in? I'm a novice!

i've never started them from seeds, i always have done bulb divisions. after the foliage dies, you can dig them up and they will have "bulblets" on the sides of the bulb. those can be gently peeled off and planted on their own.
