It likes indirect light and humid conditions. I have mine outside under a tree in the shade and it is simply beautiful.
In the winter I keep them in the window above the kitchen sink where it gets the steam from the sink. I would a bathroom would be good also.

I forgot if it gets too much sun the colors will bleach out so you will know when it is getting too much light.
