I have done so much research that I just can't decipher it all. I need help from experienced folks... I live in Northern Virginia in Loudoun County (Zone 6B). I would like to grow a climbing rose against my front porch (western exposure). I have a blue stone front so I was thinking a pink or yellow just trying not to go with red roses. Looking for a study grower, mucho mucho flowers, fragrant(must), not so susceptible. I have images of a fully impacted plant going up the pillar and hopefully along the gutter. Please give me your do's as well as your don't choices. And any hints w/ growing it.Thanx

i don't know about the hardiness, but i'd check out "lady banks" roses. they are a beautiful fresh butter color, lightly scented, and very vigorous for climbing. i want one so back i can't stand it, but haven't gotten that far!
