I am interested in brightening up my office; especially my boss' desk. We have flourescent lighting and few windows. My question is, are there any pretty, flowering plants we could keep in pots that would do well or possibly even thrive if properly maintained?

Hi OS, [wayey] W E L C O M E!!!!

If they are properly maintained there are several plants that can be in an office.

Try a dishgarden, (I get mine at Meijers), they have a variety of plants in one dish and they are just beautiful.

My favorite office plant is a dieffenbachia (also known as a dumb cane, because the sap in the cane is deadly).

It really is a beautiful plant, but keep it up and away from children. [Frown]

Do you have an English Garden nursery, there?

Whatever nursery you have there will have knoweledgeable staff to direct you to some beautiful office plants, but our english garden stores here have some really great deals. [thumb] [Wink]

Take care! [Wink]

Hey there, my office has peace lilies, ivy, and Irish Shamrocks.
I think those would be good.
Snake plants would be ok too.

Hi,

Coleus don't have much in the way of flowers but the leaves are very colorful. Here is a link that might be useful.
