Help...Can you tell me what this is?!?!?

My boss had this plant in the front of our gift shop, and it is very intriguing, but noone knows what it is or how to care for it. The 'leaves' are about 12-14 inches long, 1 inch wide, flat leaves with 'ripples' along both edges. New 'leaves' come from the center of the plant with older ones dying off on the outside. It is almost fernish in nature in the center, as the 'leaves' or fronds I suppose, unroll from the center. The leaves/fronds get dark/dry at the ends and are seeming to not be very happy. Oh...also, the leaves/fronds are stiff....sticking out from the center at about a 45 degree angle. Please forgive my wordy non-technical description. If anyone can even point me in the right direction to look for an answer I'd appreciate it! So would my boss!! [flower]

I'll try to get a picture tonight, but might need help getting it loaded....and the Bird's Nest Fern looks like a possibility, but the fronds of this plant are much smaller, and the 'head' in the middle more pronounced....I'll try the picture deal! Thanks! [thinker]

Thanks y'all...I'm gonna try to use ideas from the care of both suggetions to see if I can make it happier than it is now! Maybe when it grows up a bit it will look more like the possibilities suggested! I really appreciate all your help! [thumb]
