Hi - I'm new to the forum (been registered a while but this is my first post). Anyway I ahd a question about the Birds of Paradise plant. I have two in my back garden. They are quite big - taller than the roof of a 2 story house. However, they seem to suffer from certain sections becoming very dry and dying. I usually cut the branches off when that happens. They are on a timed water system so I think they should be getting enough water.

Any ideas on what could be causing this. Do they need some kind of plant food or something else to stop this from happening.
