I don't think it's moonvine, looks like morning glory here's mine. The buds remind me of a dairy queen ice cream cone! Smell good, too!

I give up.
by Sorathien on September 29, 2005 03:30 AM
no, the first one is a moonflower. i tried to grow one once from seed, but it didn't get enough water and died when it was only about 4" tall....
by Jiffymouse on September 29, 2005 06:54 AM
don't give up! i'll fix it for you, that is what i am here for! (if you give up, bill might fire me, or cut my pay, and we can't have that, can we [Wink] ) [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CINDY!!!!!!!
by Jiffymouse on September 30, 2005 02:35 AM
absolutely gorgeous [thumb] and a good job posting... but i am resizing for you.

also, linda, i think this is a vine related to the morning glory, rather than a bush like the datura's i've seen. i have heard both plants called moon flowers, that is why we use laten names when we can!
by Aunt B on September 30, 2005 02:37 AM
thank you. These are viney, datura bush (jimsonweed?) are more trumpet shaped blooms and then there are datura that are kind of like brugmansia except they are taller than the bush and bloom during the day. Moonflower vine and bush datura bloom at night.

beautiful! I have to start growing moon flowers again! [Smile]
