corn worms

is there any preventive way to stop corn worms, we have such beautiful corn growing in our veggetable garden i hate the thought of those worms ruining what took alot of work & sweat to get to this stage regards "garden angel"

I never had trouble with worms when I used to grow corn, but I have used cayenne pepper (sprinkled it pretty heavy on the silk & outer leaves) to keep earwigs out of it.

I'm sure that someone who knows specifically about the worm problem will come along & be able to help.

By the way, welcome to the forum, Annie!  - You'll find that we're a bunch of friendly people who are eager to help each other with gardening problems (& most of us are looking for help with ours, too!) We're like 1 big family here, & look forward to getting to know you better! I hope you'll tell us what else you have growing in your garden.
