One of my aloe plant leave's are drying at the bottom. They star turning brown and they start drying out and getting smaller. The new leaves look fine until they reach the soil. I have tried repotting it, putting it under the sun, taking it back to the shadow, dry medium, more water and nothing seems to work. Any ideas?

wenndy, are you sure itt isn't just normal aging of the leaves?

No, I am sure is not. I am talking about new leaves and this is happening to only one of the plants.

For how long did you try these things? Plants don't react quickly. You may have hit on the right conditions, but if you didn't leave it that way for a month or so, you wouldn't know. In general, aloe want lots of sun and not much water in a fast draining soil. You can let them get quite dry between waterings. Tell us about its conditions before you started doing anything, when it first started having problems.

Well, that's too bad. How's your orchid doing? What other plants do you have? Will you be getting another aloe?

Wendy, so sorry about the aloe.
It's a neat plant and I hope you'll get another one.
Do you use the gel?
I'm wondering if you'd translate your signature for me? [wavey]
