Have two liquid amber trees, bought in 15 gal sz. have been in the ground one season, lots of leaves, but very very small leaves??? live in the high desert zone 11 sandy soil, have amended the soil and used a 16 16 16 for feeding, but still very small leaves. what do i need to do???

carole, i can only hope that they aren't "weeds" there. I don't know how tall your trees are, but there could be a couple of things going on. one, immaturity of the tree, and 2, how often are you feeding? you don't want to feed them too much or they will burn.
