I just had to take some pictures of these garden friends while I was collecting seeds a little while ago.

Nice pics, Lynne!

What is that bottom flower?
That's so pretty!

...and by the way...what do you call that color of those flowers? I have a butterfly bush the same color, and I was trying to describe it to someone, and couldn't think of what the color was called. [nutz] [Embarrassed]

The top and bottom flowers are autumn joy sedums - same plant, bad camera, Cindy.

Not sure about the color name - it's sorta between a pink and a salmon, isn't it?

Yeah...but if you had the box of 64 Crayola crayons, what would the name of that color be? [Big Grin] [Eek!]

Well that WOULD be the question, now wouldn't it? [Big Grin] [dunno]

Gonna have to go to the crayola website tomorrow when I'm more coherent and take a look into it! [thumb]

Oh Lynne, those pictures are awesome! [clappy] Were the top two pictures taken with your new camera? [dunno] Geesh, the colors are so bright and beautiful and the pictures are extremely sharp!

Actually, Lynne, in the top picture the flower looks very pink to me, rather than salmon! [Wink]

Well, Cindy, if they would let me name the color I would call it "Awesome Pink"! [Big Grin] [Big Grin]

Thanks so much for sharing these pictures, Lynne! [kissies]

How 'bout bubblegum pink ? [dunno]

The top butterfly is a red admiral, and I've never had one of those here, although they should definitely be seen up here! Your pictures are so beautiful [thumb]

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CINDY!!!!!!!
by plants 'n pots on September 11, 2006 01:43 AM
Thanks all!

Patti - those pictures were taken with my old camera - haven't had time for the new one yet.
But that's why I wanted a new one - same plant and the colors came out so very differently!!!

The real color is more like the bottom picture on that particular sedum, though I do have others that are more pink like the top picture. [perplexed]

I just got my crayons out... [Embarrassed]

The color that comes closest (on my screen, anyway) is fuchsia.
