Cat and dog urine are destroying many of our plants and small shrubs. Has anyone tried 'Yard Guard', an electronic device that emits sounds to discourage a variety of animal pests? What is your experience with the product?

Any other solution...we have tried several commercial granular products, canine pepper, human hair and small fences, to no avail

I've seen motion sensor water jets. Never used one. If an animal triggers the sensor, it fires a jet of water at them. Probably works for postmen too!

Yes it's called a scarecrow and i have one..works great for cats especially. it works on infrared (heat) not motion. Kinda spendy ($80) but I got one on ebay for half price. You can adjust the range and distance sensitivity so it doesn't fire everytime someone walks by your house. ha ha.

The cat's asleep, I whisper "kitten", until he stirs a little and begins to purr.
