I hope this isn't a stupid question, but here goes. I make products for pets and am starting a few catnip toys for cats. I have 8 mature catmint plants outdoors with many sprouts coming up new this year. Is this the same as catnip? and am I able to dry the plants and use them in my toys in place of boughten catnip??

They are not the same.
We had a thread about this I think last summer.
While my cats love catnip, they could care less about catmint - which I am also growing by the way because I didn't know the difference when I got it.

If you do a forum search, you might come up with the original thread on this subject.
