I have some wild /12'high privet trees(bushes)...and I want to take cuttings to start a privet hedge ...How is the best way ? & can I do it now (end of May)...I am in zone 5...

We are very glad you found us!

I'd like to let you know, I'm going to move your post in to a section, " Plants and Flowers"
that is a little more traveled thru by our gardeners.................

thanks for moving my ? to a more popular forum...i'm a bit computerilliterate...I was into electronics & special effects in my earlier life...now enjoy gardening, painting on silk & participating in art related community projects...

You can propagate privet from softwood cuttings in early summer. Here's how.

When weeding, the best way to make sure you are removing a weed and not a valuable plant is to pull on it. If it comes out of the ground easily, it is a valuable plant.
