Garlic Bread Fingers (makes 36 pieces)

1 large clove garlic, coarsely chopped
1/4 tsp salt
5 tbsp unsalted butter, softened
2 tbsp minced, fresh flat-leaf parsley
2 tbsp minced scallions
2 tbsp minces pitted Kalamata Olives
2 tbsp minced sun-dried tomatoes, in olive oil, drained
12 slices firm white bread, lightly toasted with crusts removed

Place chopped garlic on a clean work surface and sprinkle with salt. With back of fork, mash into a paste. In a small bowl, combine garlic paste, butter, parsley, scallions, olives and sun-dried tomatoes. Heat broiler. Evenly divide garlic-and-butter mixature among bread slices and spread. Place prepared bread slices on broiler pan and broil until bubbling, about 1 min. Cut bread slices into thirds; serve hot.

sounds delicious- might give it a try! [grin]

Someone gave me a bread machine not long ago; now i make a fresh loaf almost every 2 days. I think they might have a dough recipe for bread sticks, if i remember correctly....
