Growing Lysimachia 'Beaujolais'

I tried this plant twice...both times it bloomed well the first year but didn't overwinter or reseed. The University gardens here had one that lasted 3 years and then died. I really like the look of this plant and would like to try it again, but I'm apprehensive about it's ability to overwinter. All the info I could find and all the nurseries list it as a hardy perennial. Anyone else grow it? Does it overwinter for you? If so, what's the trick?Does it reseed or have you tried growing it from seed?
