Hurricane hit island needs Red Mulberry

Grand Isle was hit hard by Katrina and Rita. We are one of the first stops for northern migrating birds. Most of the Red Mulberry, a favorite of the trip-starved birds on the island was destroyed.We are looking for any help possible in getting Red Mulberry starts re-planted on the island. If anyone can help, please let me know.

Wayne...the Oklahoma Department of Forestry has red mulberry seedlings available this year. Here is a link to the site:

Are there still stumps from some of the trees, or were they all uprooted? Mulberries regrow rapidly after storm damage.
