I'm sorry but the Willy seeds are no longer available!
****************************************

Be the first on your block to be the proud owner of this highly desirable, very limited first edition Wild Willy Collectible! [clappy]

We can only guarantee that the first 25 forum members who respond and take advantage of this rare opportunity will ever know the joy of owning this small piece of Cedar Hill, so act fast! (There are only 46 in existence, so their value is certain to increase!) [dunno]

Wild Willy's autograph has a value in excess of $5! Ask Garden~Mom!
Other rarer Willy collectibles are Priceless... Ask Cindy how much she wants for hers!
Just imagine the potential value of this new, rare find, autographed by Willy himself!!!! [shocked]

We could easily charge $29.95 for this treasure...

*

*

 -

You can own your OWN autographed, special collectors edition packet of mixed seeds harvested from the Columbines of Cedar Hill! What more could you ever ask for?? [Cool]

*

*

Maybe I could let them go cheaply... say $9.95 a pack?

*

*

Naw.....

*

*

I'll tell ya what I'm gonna do....

*

*

Go make a donation of $5 or more to Jenn's Relay for Life campaign and I'll send you a packet of my special seeds.

(I ONLY have 25 packets available so this offer is only open to the first 25 of our forum's members. There is a limit of one packet per member.)

Support the American Cancer Society and next spring you'll have pretty new flowers to thank you for it!! [angel]

I thank you too!

[thinker] You know, a little off subject but it would be sort of neat to have an official Garden Helper T-Shirt, or Coffecup(since we're all self confessed coffee addicts)...... [thumb]

For 2 million bucks I'd expect you AND Bill to both come with the t-shirt Cindy..... [Big Grin]

So come on you guys, who's gonna be the lucky members to get their official Cedar Hill seeds? [dunno]

This time!!!!!
[kitty] [devil]

Now can I get a mug and several T-shirts?

I think that is a great idea about the coffee cups and shirts....but I want to make sure you aren't out any money making them.
My guess is buying a significant quantity at one time would probably be less expensive overall than to make just a few several times.

Maybe artistic Cindy could help in the design????
I really don't know how they go about making them so I wouldn't be of any help!

Idea's Wild Willy???...the rose???

There are several places that you can get stuff printed at a resonable price....I sure like the Wild Willy idea...and/or Cindy Faye might have a lot better idea! I know we don't have a lot of men on the forum...but I don't know how they would feel about wearing a rose....

I would love a T~shirt...but man, drinking out of a GH mug every morning while yapping in the coffee house would be pretty darn neat as well!

Hmmm...I might be able to come up with a screenprinting "connection" from my sign business days. I used to have hats, t-shirts, mugs etc. with my sign company logo printed on them. I found a box of my old ball caps the other day. [Roll Eyes]

I used to get that stuff pretty cheap...

I agree with what Karen said, about not wanting you to be out of money doing this...I'd scrape the money together for a shirt or two...and a mug or two....I wouldn't be able to pick between mugs or t shirts.... [Big Grin]

My sister in law does mugs and T~shirts right now..
She's got a business out of her basement....

She does the shirts that have them right into
the fabric, not ironed on..
Very Cool!!!

I will have to ask her....

What would the stuff say?

Have you ever heard of a T~shirt company
called Carolina T's??
I used to order shirts from there,
a long, long time ago..*sounds like there's a
song in there somewhere's*
And they had the best, very reasonable shirts??
They had a company in Calif.. and Indiana too,
I think..
*the best long sleave T~shirts too*

You know, I'm just thinking that it would be kind of cool if there were a couple of choices made up for the T's/mugs for us to pick from.....then if we found a good company we could choose which picture we wanted and pay for it ourselves--that way Bill wouldn't be taking on any cost, and I know it's cheaper to buy in big quantities, but I'm just thinking 0 cost to Bill is probably best......Cindy you're fantastic at graphics.....I'll bet you could think up a few really cool things.

Just my recent thoughts on it all.....although Weezie, if your SIL could do it to where she'd still make a profit, but below full price that would be fantastic too!

"it would be great advertisement"
*Vanessa has a good point there....so it would also need the www. addy big enough to read from a ????? distance.

*It would really be nice if it had designs on both the front and back.

*And a nice thicker t-shirt please...the kind that if they are white don't show every design of the bra!!! [perplexed]

I have been pondering the idea of having T-shirts, coffee mugs and bumper stickers printed up for quite a while now. My thoughts leaned more toward giveaways and contest prizes more than selling them but the cost has kept me more or less quiet.

quote:
"it would be great advertisement"

The advertising aspect would be great, but in my mind, I would rather that you wore a Gardener's Forum shirt as a matter of pride and unity in belonging to such a great group of gardening friends and family.

quote:
*It would really be nice if it had designs on both the front and back.
My original vision was of a fairly small monogram (4"x4"?) GH rose with The Gardener's Forum arched over the rose and www.TheGardenHelper.com in a straight line beneath. I like the Wild Willy in place of the rose as well (did someone say "vanity, ego and a swoolen head"?)
When we find out what kind of pricing is involved, we may be able to offer options for the two designs. My own tastes in T-shirts would make my preference be just the monogram on the front, but Hummingbird House might look nice as a larger print on the back too!

quote:
*And a nice thicker t-shirt please...the kind that if they are white don't show every design of the bra!!!
I HATE those thin T-shirts! I would insist on nice thick, highest quality shirts. Another question that has come to mind is the color of the shirt. A standard color (white?) would probably be cheaper to produce, but I'd hate to dictate that you had to wear my color choice!
Same thing for the coffee mugs... Big and Bold! When you are having your morning cup of coffee you gotta be thinking "mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm GOOD!" about both the coffee and your cup!

quote:
*Thought... ghelper magnets for our vehicles.???? Big enough to read from at least a car length behind....They stick the way the support our military ribbons do.
I thought about peel and stick bumper stickers but magnets never crossed my mind... This is something that we could look into. (I heard there is a bird around here that used to make a living printing commercial, magnetic truck signs... Maybe she would consider giving us a price quote for a couple different sizes)

Another possibility that I started to explore last week was printing out some of those "iron on" appliques. The cost would only be about $2.50 for a 8 1/2 x 11 1/2 sheet (could be 4 "monograms" or a single giant Hummingbird House.) The cost of mailing would be next to nothing. I've never tried them so I don't know about the quality compared to screen printed shirts, and that is why I hesitate to suggest that option... but there IS that option.

It makes me very proud to think that you all would like to own a forum T or mug! Thank you!!! [grin]

If you did that...then we would be looking at you being out the cost of purchase...and I think we all agree that is the one thing we don't want, I think you have been more than generous with the forum being free and providing us with the new server. As much as we would LOVE to win an item...I would rather have the oppertunity to buy as many as I would like. THEN...if you wanted to purchase a "different" smaller item...(like maybe the car magnet things or cups) to use as gifts or prizes that would be your choice.

ok, willy and i were posting at the same time, but here is my take at this point.

when i worked the g8 summit, a local supplier (someone i have several different contacts with) was able to do embroidered golf shirts in 3 colors with the g8 logo on them for $26 per shirt (i know the cost, i bought 3 of the "extras"). these were top of the line, ping brand golf shirts (kinda like what i used to call a polo shirt). the only caveat to the whole thing was that we had to take the colors they had in stock. the good thing was that they were a very nice butter cream yellow.

now, from what i know, the biggest thing that will hinder us is whether we have "camera" ready art (oh cindy [lala] )

we could get something like what willy suggested, a rose (or willy) with the arched letters over the top and the web address underneath.

i'm sure i have a picture of me in the shirt (or one of matthew) i'll find it right now and post it.
by Jiffymouse on November 06, 2005 12:58 AM
i should have said, this supplier can do other stuff as well, and the reason we had to go with the shirts in stock was that we were in a hurry. if we had wanted to wait, we could have had any color.
by catlover on November 06, 2005 01:17 AM
Now you all see why I get myself in twubble in the hostess lounge....the thoughts just keep getting bigger and bigger!!!ROFL

That's fine with me...I'll do whatever needs done...camera ready art, divided into separate screens, etc.
My first t-shirt screenprinting job was a "four color" of two chickens playing volleyball [lala] [Big Grin] ...started with a pencil and blank piece of paper, and ended up with the final product separated into 4 color screens.

Here's my resume ..... [grin]
I'll do whatever you need.
