What should I do to prepare my Dallas soil for gardenias (August Beauty)? Is there a way I can test the PH of the soil to see what it currently is/ what it is after amendment, before planting?

Thanks in advance!

Hi 1sttime,

You can get a soil test at your local garden center. I picked mine up at Lowe's. Now as far as changing the pH. Depending on what you need to do and what you use to do it expect that it will take around 6 months for the adjustment to show. At least that's what my research has suggested.
