my only plant is my new purple heart. it is like a pet. i like it.
i do wish it had more little pink blossoms. a lot of its flowers are dry and brownish.
any hints on having lots of frequent blossoms, anyone? [Wink]

Is this the purple heart you are referring to? Purple Heart

I have this plant...used to have it in a hanging basket outside but got tired of watering it ALL the time. Think it outgrew the basket. I have it in part shade planted in the ground right now and it is blooming less than when I had it in full sun. Might be the time of year as well. [dunno] I think plants n'pots had one as well...in a very bright window....it was shown in a pix that really highlighted the purple color. Glad you brought this plant up....I am going to try and plant some in my cactus garden around some really huge guys...and see what happens.
[teacher] I know they are very susceptible to slugs and snails if anyone decides to plant in the ground.

Can't tell you anything about fertilizing ...never used it on this plant.

Hopefully somene will run through with additional info.
