I have a very large peace lily that I would like to divide into four pieces. Is this possible, and if so, how do you do it. Do you take a shovel and cut it like you do a lily in the garden?

Why do you want to divide it? What size pot is it in?

hi sara, yes, you can divide a peace lily, but be prepared, they don't like it. the best way (i learned the hard way) is to use a sharp knife and just cut it into the desired number of parts, place them in pots that are barely bigger than the new root ball, and baby them. takes a while for the shock to wear off, but they can and will come back.
