My bird of paradise is beautiful, but we need to get rid of it to prevent more damage to our brickwork. Anyone have experience with removing one? The plant is about 8 years old and just keeps growing. It has now moved under the brick work and lifting it. Have tried digging it up, but there is no end!! Is there a chemical that can be used? Any suggestion(s)welcome....

Round-up kills just about anything! But be careful and read the directions. As it kills just about anything, if it gets on a plant you like, or the lawn, you can say good-bye to it, too.

Thank you so much. Will certainly give Roundup a try. Appreciate the info.
