I have a rubber tree that is not branched out at all. I have had it about 1 year, and it is really tall. It is not purple like the variety that is pictured in another rubber plant forum. Can I cut the top half off and start a new plant for a friend? And will that cause it to branch out?

How did you make out? I'm curious to know as I'd like to try the same with my rubber plant. [grin]
