Yes otherwise known as Black knot. If caught early prune off of trees. Burn or discard pruned off wood. Unfortunately, once a tree gets it all you can do is prolong its life.

Yeah, I think it's it..
but it's almost too late,
ther'es alot on it..

There we two little pieces this spring
and asked my husband to cut it off..
butttttttttt of course we both forgot about it..
and it spread....

When you do prune those areas off remember to disinfect your shears after so you don't accidentally spread it

Yeah, I know...

I'm still debaiting what to do with
the tree it's self..
Prune out all the pieces...
or cut it down and burn it all..

Such a shame, I had just gotten it
cured of aphids', and a few other small things.

But can't decide what to do with it...
