Hi Y'all, I live in Vicksburg, Mississippi, zone 8. I retired about a year ago and I'm thoroughly enjoying it! I love almost anything I can do out in my yard. My hubby and I finished building our house about 1 year ago (we did it ourselves and, yes, I helped). I've been landscaping our 11 1/2 acres with trees and shrubs that will benefit wildlife and have also put in several butterfly gardens. I have a big vegetable garden and an orchard. We put in a food plot down at the creek each spring and fall for the deer (we don't hunt them in our yard). I love reading, hunting, fishing, and wildlife photography (that includes my two grandkids! ) Found y'all surfing the web looking for info on a particular tree I want to add to my yard. This site looks like what I've been looking for--the others just seem too formal. Looking forward to swapping info with y'all.

Nothing formal about us! We are just a bunch of friendly folks that share everything we know about gardening and fun. Feel free to jump right in and make yourself at home...
