thanks for looking! so I need to figure out the chemical structure of bleach (NaOCl) The balanced formula's here: 2NaOH+Cl2 --> NaCl+NaClO+H2O The closest thing that I have right now is Cl-O-Na Anyone have any clue?

Kenny, try www.webqc.org DD used it just last month to help with her chemistry. They have online calculators to help verify and balance your results.

Thanks everyone, the equation up there is balanced, I just need a diagram for the compound...I don't know what hypochlorite is (as in how many chlorines and whatever else) here's an example of water O-H-O Tamara, I bookmarked the site
