catlover sends her love and thanks for the prayers. they are still very much needed, the infection is spreading and getting much worse.
manda, i agree that the thyroid is possibly a major culprit. i have thyroid problems and so does my daughter. the endocrinologist said that it can start pretty young.

PLEASE continue to pray for catlover. she has her drs giving her conflicting statements, one says one thing and the other says the total opposite, and one doesn't want to give her pain meds... please pray for her...

Oh It's so hard to hear when the doctors don't agree! Continues prayer For Catlover and Pixie, and all that needs prayers for what ever the cause or need ~~ prayers are lifted up!

Everyone here is in my thoughts today. I am new to this forum but love it just the same and was beginning to make some great online friends. I know it is hard when you have to leave a forum or it shuts down. There is another forum like this for divorce and breakups that I actually met the man who is now my huband on! Yes, strange, I know, but that just goes to show the bonds you can form on boards like this one. I know everyone is hurting and I just wanted to say I am thinking of you and hoping that the forum lasts. It is a wonderful resource to all of us who are just learning to garden and a great way to make friends for those of us who don't (or can't) get out much in "real life." Love to all, Manda

i'll tell her you asked dianne. i talked to her very briefly tonight. the pain meds they have her on make it hard for her to function. so her sister now has medical poa while the drs argue over the best method of treatment. one says it is gangrene, one says it's "just an infection" with a blood clot impeding healing, and one says they need to make up their mind and treat her. with her sister having medical poa now, karen can take her meds and concentrate on healing instead of avoiding the pain meds so she is coherent enough to understand what they are saying. thanks for asking, she sends her love.

There has been a fire at her house and 2/3 of the property is burnt and the fire is under control. She said that her house is ok but there is damage to the siding near Matthew's bedroom window.

I just got off the phone and she said the fire is out. The damage to the house is minor(Matthew and Scott can fix it ) and the start was narrowed to spontaneous combustion of a can of lighter fluid type fuel. She will post when she can. Please keep praying!

On a better note Harold is out of the hospital from his liver transplant doing better then the Doctors thought he would. He gets out and walks around to gain his strength back.. My brother is also mending well. Joyce had two Lumpectomies last week waiting for results. Thank you all for your prayers.

thank you for the update jimmy and thank you for the prayers.
i have an update on catlover... it is mixed. it wasn't gangrene, it was a blood vessel infection, but nothing in the bone. the antibiotics took care of it.
the bad news is that her toes aren't going to get better. ever. they have her special shoes now, and say that this could move to any part of her body at any time. she thinks they will send her home tomorrow or the next day.

Just wanted to let you know that my Hubby had his operation on Tue. and they were able to get all the cancer and he is on his way to recovery. I want to thank you all for your thoughts and prayers and ask that you continue as he moves thru this recovery period. Again, many, many thanks. Hugs, Sue

Please keep my wife, Catherine Denise Winston in your prayers. On Monday March 12, 2007 we found out that she has breast cancer. She has Inflammatory Breast Cancer the rarest, most aggressive, and fastest spreading cancer. It has already spread to her lungs and one ovary. She had surgery today to have a port installed for chemotherapy and will start chemotherapy next week. Her spirits improve daily knowing that people are praying for her. The doctors say that with surgery, chemotherapy and radiation on a regular basis, she will be able to live for years, but we think that prayer is the MOST important thing. Thank you all. Thorn.

Nat I am so sorry for your wife prayers for her her doctors and strength for you and your family. Just been there with my daughter while not the aggressive kind was scary still. She is now waiting to start radiation. Praying your wife will come out at least as good.

oh my nat. i hate that so very much. but know, she is in my prayers as are you to be able to stay supportive of her.
i too have prayer requests... seems like a laundry list of them... my best friend wendy - her husband will have surgery for cancer of the thymus gland on april 12, and her son was admitted to the hospital for an indefinite stay last night. And Ellie's mother in law's brother is facing open heart surgery as soon as they can get him on the schedule, and mona's sister is facing an indefinite hospitalization.
