Hi everyone! My name is Jennifer and I'm from Michigan. I've always had a bed in my front yard, but it just had some type of decorative grass growing in it. This year my Mom wanted to help me plant some nicer plants in there instead. I reluctantly agreed, thinking it would be too much work. Well to my surprise.. I loved it!! I loved working up the dirt, pulling the weeds, planting the new flowers, watering them every day, and watching them grow!! Seeing them thrive is definitely the most rewarding experience! We planted some Hostas, yellow flowers which look like daylilies (so I'm pretty sure they are, but not positive) and some riviera marine blue Lobelia's lining the front (maybe I'll take some pics soon to share!

Well then I decided to put down grass seed in my yard to fill the holes.. and found another spot in my backyard to make a new flower bed! I recently planted some Moonbeam Coreopsis and Mums back there, and soon I'm hoping to add some daylilies in back! I can't wait to see how it looks once it's filled in.

I've always LOVED my Grandparents backyard because they have flower gardens galore, but I never realized how rewarding it would be to grow things myself! I am loving this! Thanks so much for letting me share! [Wink]
