It's hard to be new at anything when you're 70 and always have been active. However, my wife and I just recently received our Master Gardener status and I am really glad we found this site. We live in the Pee Dee region (central part of state) of South Carolina. It is about zone 7.5 and does have some unique growing quirks as every location seems to have. Anyhoo, it's great getting to know all and hope to visit this site regularly. My particular passion is Japanese maples, container grown. My wife's is odd and unusual plants.

Hello! I am new here too! My father-in-law will be 72 this month and is also very active. Still rides his bike and roller blades every week! He enjoys his gardening too but is having a heck of a time with rabbits this year! Look forward to chatting with you!
