Well it is really a slur against Microsoft.

OS referring to "Operating System", and "Redmond" referring to Redmond Washington where Microsoft is headquartered.

This came out about the time of the Anti-Trust hearing. I got fed up with MS and dumped them 4 years ago, and am now running Mandriva Linux 2006 instead of Windows.
