Hey folks, Brand new to gardening--I somehow managed to kill a cactus when I was younger and now I want to line my patio with some flowers. I'm thinking sunflowers, but only 'cause my girlfriend/roommate loves 'em so much. Anyway, I'm in the Air Force and live in Germany--I was a military brat, but I call Melbourne Florida home. The climate here in Germany screams for gardening, but I don't know where to start. Guess I'll just have to giver 'er a try! If anyone has any advice for planting sunflowers here, I'm all ears!

Hiya Dwayne! Welcome to the forum! My ex was stationed in Germany(Augsburg?) back in the late 80's early 90's. I hear it is beautiful there...Good luck with the gardening...my best sunflowers came from birdseed that spilled out of the feeder!
