Hi everyone, I sought this site out to get a better understanding of the growth "zone" I live in. I have been in Tennessee for 11 years now but grew up in the desert of California where all you really had to do was add water and everything grew year round. I have 8 beautiful Japanese Maples and would like to know if I can encourage the direction of growth by tieing them to a stake! I want to build a 6' privacy fence and would prefer not to transplant. With that I am looking forward to sharing and learning to grow from everyone. Thanks
