What a treat to find this forum!

I enjoy perennial gardening, with hosta, daylilies, clematis, and semps being my favorites. I've already ordered several hosta for May delivery, leading my DH to remark "I suppose that means more digging and mulch".

I'm looking forward to your wisdom, humor, and garden conversation! Thank you for allowing me to join you.

Hi Teapotprincess

I love Hosta's as well and have several in my garden although the only ones that look good all summer are in large pots, the snails get the most of the others which are around the pond. They were OK when frogs used the pond but the last two years the frogs havn't returned so no tadpoles- hence lace work leaves. I dont like using pellets as I try to garden without chemicals as we have Koi carp in the pond and lots of birds and wildlife visiting my small city garden.
