Hello! My name is Elissa and I live in northern New Jersey in the Manhattan suburbs.
I love gardening and I have been learning through trial and error. Last summer we finally finished our front yard gardens, which get full southern sun all day. We have Norway spruces, barberry, boxwoods, gold mops, euonymus, and a dwarf weeping japanese maple, daylilies and some gazanias for annual color. The gardens are doing great but our lawn suffered due to a dry summer and lack of automatic irrigation. Now our landscape looks like we are playing favorites but we're determined to plant a beautiful new lawn this Spring.
Just when I thought I didn't have room or time in my life for another message board, I found this one and here I am! I'm glad to be here and hope to learn a lot more about my garden.
