I have many interests. As well as gardening, I love to cook and bake. I keep chickens and I have my pets. Linda t. I'm usually hanging out around here, reading & dreaming about gardens at this time of night. Where abouts in Alaska are you, & how many hours of daylight do you have up there these days? When & how long is your growing season? (Gosh! I've gone & bombarded you with questions, right off the bat!) I used to have chickens when we had a farm in Montana, but my husband's job brought us to a city in SW Oregon, where we've been for 3 years now. The law says I can have only 3 chickens in the city limits (& no roosters) so I had to give up that hobby! I only raised veggies in Montana & never bothered with flowers, but now that I'm here where the growing season is twice as long, I'm giving it a try... new to it & getting serious, just this year! There are a lot of people around here who love to cook... have you checked out the recipe section? (Maybe you have some you'd like to share!) You'll find very quickly that the people here are downright friendly, eager to share information & ideas about kids, pets, gardening, household hints... the list goes on!
