Some of you remember when we got our Alaskan Malamute puppies at the end of last year. Here is what they looked like in November...
Here are pictures that I took of them today. Kina is the black one and Sivu is the grey one. They both weigh just under 50 pounds now. Kina stands at 29" at the shoulder and Sivu at 27" at the shoulder.

They are 5 months old now. And they are really good puppies. Totally house-broken, don't normally chew on what they aren't supposed to, and they have learned to 'sit' and 'lay down' ......but they still need treats to do the lay down one.

Oh, they were adorable puppies and now they are such beautiful dogs. Kina is so cute and kinda reminds me of a raccoon with the markings on its face.

Yup...and still growing. They will be weighed on thursday when they go to the vet for their kennel cough vaccination. We think Kina will be about 120 lbs. by the time she is done growing. We have to loosen their collars about once a week!!

Yup.....well, they DO eat about 20 pounds of food every week. We have one of those big feeder things that holds 20 pounds and it was just filled last weekend and it is empty again.

Actually, we have 3 cats. They are not friends at all. The puppies are just too curious and bouncy for the cats to even want to be near them. We've moved into my inlaws house until the fall and she has 2 cats and a dog on top of our managerie. The cats have taken over the 2nd floor of the house and the dogs get the first floor. MIL's dog sleeps with them at night and we have an issue every evening when it is time for him to go upstairs for bed. The cats gang up and chase him through the hallway!
