I LOVE roses, but I'm not sure I took any pictures of the whole garden, just the individual blooms.

Not yet but planning one this year. I just have them planted randomly with everthing. Planning one in the back corner of my house, just have to do some research first. Only floribuna's do well here.

not a very good pic but here's one of my roses from last year. I can't remember right off what the name of it was though...it was a VERY light pink color and smelled VERY VERY good and the flower didn't even look like a rose...still pretty though [Smile]

They're all lovely - I don't think we've got the kind of terraine needed for roses - I do have one of those mini ones I'm trying to take over from last year.

Maybe I'll try a bush this year - I've never had luck doing them though.

Sarah, those are beautiful!
I love yellow roses, they're my favorite!

Have you been able to find out if the new owners of your grandmother's house have kept up with the gardens?

Does anyone know what kind of roses will put out the most rosey scent?

I don't know what they have done with the house or the yards, and I am scared to ask.

There are several different classifications for smell in roses. I prefer the less traditional rose smells....the blue girl is one of my favorites, it has what is termed a "citrus" scent.

Hi, Roses are one of my favorite flowers. I had over 50 in containers until my MIL passed on several years ago and I gave them away. That blue Girl sure photographed pink!! Mine was a blue lavender. It didn't photograph very well either. I didn't have a digital camera tho. It photographed real light. Beautiful roses!!

I would love to see the pic. Any idea why the page won't open?
