Our weather has been really strange this year. We have had more rain than snow and that is extremely unsual for us. Usually we have below freezing weather (I guess that would be 0*C) and we've had more days above that than not. It kinda scares me. Weird things have been going on with nature the past few years. All those shark attacks in 2001, then the tidal waves, droughts, hurricanes, flooding, too warm winter weather where it should have more cold and too cold winter weather where it should be warmer.
It kinda has me a bit nervous.

SPOT ON .. U got it right this time, I hope you didn't mind me correcting you earlier !! Anyways, I more worried about this change of season as for me my farm is my bread earner and I can't handle seasonal changes overnite ... I know evrything about apples but if my area weather becomes unsuitable I dread to think that I wud have to cut them and plant something else ... and those trees wud take ages to grow ... so what wud I do in that period ??

I just sit and pray that it goes back to what it was or rather settle down so that we know what weather we will get and when ... so we can plan accordingly !! I"M SCARED >....... [scaredy]

Saazid, I will pray for you then.

I'm not a farmer, but I know the farmers in this country are having a very hard time of it and the price of produce has gone up because of this weird weather.
P.S. I don't mind at all that you corrected me!

Saazid, Do you irrigate at all? Would it ne more cost effective to put in some kind of irrigation system rather than start all over with a new crop that will not show a profit for years down the road?

Great pictures, Jamie!

So interesting to learn more about your land, Saazid!

Here is a picture from "the morning after" the storm yesterday! It's of an adirondack bench that Don made last summer. This bench keeps getting blown over in the wind this winter - didn't think it was that light!
