Member # 9258 posted                    Sadness is A mirror, broken, reflecting slivers Echoing lost jewels, tarnished Cracked fragments, open wounds Empty silences, red air bleeds Living together, alone Magic carpets swept under rugs Remembering, forgetting, feeling Everything, nothing Sadness is A clock ticking, hearing lost blinks Blue breathing, gasping Cold, odorless, spaces of ice Dreary eyes leaking pain puddles Motionless moments, frozen Time, handless holding Sadness is A wallflower, saving dances The dance card fills with tomorrows The same song, never changing A broken record skips years Waiting to dance Sadness is Ending, without ever beginning AJB© 2002 * * * * Painting is silent poetry, and poetry is painting that speaks.
