one of my "oldies" from 1989

Paint a portrait with poetic prose
Capturing the ruddy crimson of a rose
Each petal perfectly formed, curled
Nature's beauty when unfurled.

Draped in drops of dainty dew
sparkling with a multi-colored hue
Shimmering shards of crystal
so pleasing, almost sinful

A symphony of colors for the eye
fleeting glimpses with shades gone by
Etched into perpetual memory
such sweet serene scenery.
